Run in Background
When you are running ChordWalk with a DAW on an iPad, and you are toggling between the applications, you must have ChordWalk, and the DAW set to “Run in background” mode for the DAW to continue playing with ChordWalk running in the background.
Instructions for Using ChordWalk with a DAW on iPad:
Enable "Run in Background" Mode:
Ensure both ChordWalk and your DAW are set to “Run in Background” mode. This allows the DAW to continue playing while ChordWalk is running in the background.

ChordWalk is usually set to “Run in Background” by default.
To confirm or change this setting:
Tap the “TAB” icon in ChordWalk.
Select “Preferences” from the dropdown menu.
