Protools with ChordWalk

The images below show Protools running with ChordWalk.

Got to “Edit view” from the “Window” option.

Make sure that you have an Instrument row displayed in your “Edit Window” If an Instrument Row is not displayed, right click on the comments area and the dropdown menu will be displayed.

Activate “Instrument” and the Instrument Row will be presented.

In “Edit View” select “MIDI input selector” in the Instrument column.

Select “Predefined” and all the MIDI recognised devices will be displayed including the Virtual loopback ports.

Select the port that corresponds to the assigned Port in ChordWalk. The MIDI data stream from the assigned Port in ChordWalk will be routed to the selected Ports in the individual Instrument tracks of Protools.

Remember: to play a track or multiple tracks together in Protools you must have “record” activated on each track. To do this, you must press and hold the Shift button whilst you activate the “record” button for each track individually.
