Virtual Instrument using SoundFonts

Independently of Local or external MIDI Devices connected, you can immediately start playing a wide range of instruments sounds using our bundled SF2 SoundFont Package.

Five on-board Virtual Instrument MIDI destinations are provided. They are Labelled V1, V2, V3,V4 and V5.. You can assign any SoundFont Instrument sound to one or all Virtual Instrument Destinations.

ChordWalk provides a bundled package of high quality, LicenceFree, SF2 SoundFonts. The bundled SF2 SoundFont package supports a wide range of Keyboards, Strings and Flute instrument sound selections.

ChordWalk allows for all five Virtual Instruments to play simultaneously. More on this subject further down

There are hundreds of LicenceFree SF2 SoundFont bundles available online for download. Just download one, or a bundle of your favourite instrument sounds into a Folder. When you select on any SF2 labels, all available SF2 resources will be display in the explorer window. Make your selection to a Virtual Instrument Destination and that instrument sound will be played when you route an output from a creation zone to that Destination. More on this subject further down.

There are also many SF2 SoundFonts available on-line for download that are professionally produced by commercial enterprises. Many of these commercial instrument sounds were created by famous musicians using premium instruments. These sounds were recorded in professional studio environments. As you develop your skill levels with ChordWalk, you may consider purchasing some of these professionally produced, commercially available, SF2 SoundFont.
